‘The Inbetweeners Movie’ fails where the original TV show succeeded, but still remains a funny enough teen comedy.

It’s a mixed bag of home video releases this week with the debut of Mel Gibson’s ‘The Beaver,’ the cult classic ‘Trollhunter’ and Disney’s ‘Bambi II.’ Plus films by Kubrick, Corman and … Ernest make this week really something for everyone!

For some reason, I didn’t expect ‘Fright Night’ to be what the previews lead me to believe. Unfortunately, I was both correct … and incorrect.

New home video releases this week bring The Dude, The Muppets and Stallone to Blu-ray for the first time, as well as some highly anticipated but little seen films, Kubrick, Polanski … and a classic sci-fi film about a robot terrorizing New York.

I’ve been looking forward to another adaptation of ‘The Stand’ for quite some time. But, really, it has to be these guys?

Within the first two minutes, ‘The Guard’ easily cements its place as one of the best comedies of the year, and it only gets better from there.

If you’re a fan of the ‘Final Destination’ franchise, this is the must-see movie of the summer … and see it as it was meant to be seen – in gloriously gory 3D!
