Grey’s Anatomy’s interns have fun on the set

Since the series premiere of Grey’s Anatomy, we’ve heard a lot of rumblings from the behind-the-scenes of the ABC show. Be it Isaiah Washington’s inappropriate comments and firing, Katherine Heigl’s issues with her storylines that led to her withdrawing from the Emmy’s race to the drama that surrounded the launch of Private Practice, the show’s spin-off.

But what is on-set life for the actors playing the show’s interns? Is it as dramatic? Actors Richard Keith (with Heigl in the picture on top of this post) and Joy Osmanski, who play Intern Mitch and Intern Lucy respectively, decided to have some fun on the set and shot a small spoof of the series.

As you’ll see in the YouTube video below, the two actors, along with friend Eric Stitt, re-shot a scene of the series but put their own twist to it. In the video description on YouTube, they assure us that it is not representative of life on the set and that Patrick Dempsey is awesome.

Personally, I was amused by their little spoof. I wish that they would be allowed to shoot real behind-the-scenes videos a bit à la Adrian Pasdar with Heroes and release them on YouTube. Here’s to hoping!
