  • It’s been awhile since the likes of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess graced our screens, heralding a new “golden age” of syndicated fantasy. But now, the man behind those “classic” shows, Sam Raimi (Spider-Man movies), along with ABC Studios, is back at it. This time he’s bringing an adaptation of Terry Goodkind’s epic The Sword of Truth book series to the screen with the awkwardly titled Legend of the Seeker, premiering in a two-hour extravaganza sometime today. Check local listings; you remember how this syndicated thing works, right?

8:00p/7:00 Central

  • The episode title for FOX’s Cops tonight is “Morons on Parade.” What more do you need to know? Then, on a repeat we get “Stupid Criminals #3 Special Edition” so expect a lot of laughs. ABC sticks with Saturday Night College Football for the football fans among us.
  • The contestants get to pick their wrestling gimmick tonight on CMT’s Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling. Or, for the more delicately fashioned, there’s always Oxygen’s Center Stage 2: Turn It Up. Head back to the NYC American Ballet Company and join up with Peter Gallagher and Ethan Stiefel as they work with a couple of newcomers to the company.
  • Repeats on the night include back-to-back Knight Rider on NBC. First up is the one where Mike was almost poisoned and we learned secrets of his past. We also have CBS’s CSI: Miami, bringing us an episode from last year where the team faces a serial killer who struck during an eclipse. MyNetwork TV is just throwing up the Stephen King film Misery.

9:00p/8:00 Central

  • It probably won’t come as a big surprise to you that FOX follows up an hour of Cops action with America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back. We’ve been doing this for more than two decades now.
  • CMT offers up another My Big Redneck Wedding, while CMT goes from wrestling to cheering with Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team.
  • BBC America brings us the season finale of Primeval. And this time we have to wait at least until 2009 to get the third season premiere. Will time get disrupted again? Will everyone survive the night? Brits know, but they promise not to tell.
  • The next Knight Rider repeat on NBC has Mike and KITT racing to save a dam. Is this tactic working? Will you be watching Knight tonight? Would you rather watch Bridget Jones’s Diary on Lifetime? How about the 1999 Beowulf moving on Sci Fi?
  • CBS brings us the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in a repeat involving murders at the bull riding finals in Las Vegas.

10:00p/9:00 Central

  • BBC America offers up an evening of fun with The Graham Norton Show, while WE offers up an evening of awe with John Edward Cross Country.
  • CBS’s 48 Hours Mystery picks the least sensational story to spotlight this week as they focus on the millionaire who’s crazy sex life may have led to his 2005 murder.
  • Trading Spaces promises to do more than just bring two people together to make over each other’s rooms by bringing us “estranged best friends.” Expect lots of tears and hugs.
  • NBC is re-airing the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit from this past Tuesday, in case you forgot how it ended. Or missed it altogether.
