Frakkin’ Clack – Flashbang … boom! A peek at the next episode

BSG

Last week I posted my guess that, based on the promos for this week’s episode, Col. Tigh would jump on the grenade we saw thrown into the barricaded room. Many commenters mentioned that it was likely a “flashbang” (or stun grenade) that we saw, which makes perfect sense. What I didn’t realize at the time was that a flashbang wasn’t necessarily deadly, should someone jump on it. What’s more, there’d be no need for Saul to jump on it unless he thought it threatened Adama’s life, anyway.

77% of voters in my poll say the grenade “did nothing” to Tigh nor Adama, which I guess is the best answer if you’re thinking it’s not going to kill anyone.

Yesterday I received a short clip which looks to be from very early in this Friday’s new episode, which is embedded below. There’s nothing all that spoilery going on in it, but it definitely gets me excited for what’s coming for the rest of the season. That is, if the action we saw last week and the increased tension shown in the video are any indication.

Also, I listened to the latest commentary podcast, which didn’t really offer anything revealing. No indication as to what to expect this week at all, though it’s always a good listen.

It seems strange to me that the Cylons are being so easily bossed around in that clip. Then again, it seems strange that we’ve come full circle from the Cylons being the bad guys to a position where the good guys are all Cylons or Cylon sympathizers.

Well, the regular cylons do hold Tigh, Anders and Galen in high regard so there decisions are a bit conflicted when it comes to just abandoning them.

Why did Leoben say, “What about the final four, Tigh, Anders, Tyrol are still over there.” that only makes three over there, Tory was standing in front of him. Or does he just think of them as a package deal?

I just see that as a “we call the final four…the final four” Even without the fourth member, the other three are still the final four.

Well, only Tigh knows that Ellen is the last of the final five AFAWK. Leoben probably assumes there is another living Cylon somewhere in the fleet, hence “final four”.

He must have told some people – didn’t Apollo tell the press that they thought the fifth cylon was a “she” and that she was dead?

Apollo is a moron.

He told a few people because Lee said “she” when referring to who the fifth Cylon was.
