One snooty Idol gets her just desserts

ai-bottom-two

I’ve been railing against Michael Sarver ever since he got into the top 12, but now, I think I’ve changed my mind. At least for this week, that is. Really, he’s grown on me just the teensiest bit, and yeah, partially due to the fact that he got all choked up talking about his daughter. I’m a sucker for that kind of stuff. But also, even though he was given the equivalent to the Friday night death slot on Fox by going first, he held his own with a ridiculously difficult song, in a genre that suits him well.

Ms. Grace, on the other hand, can disappear now as far as I’m concerned. It’s true, I’ve always felt she was overrated but her performance of “Jolene” was just awful, both times. Really, its sad when a dude sings “Jolene” and makes it more believable than you. I can’t stand the diva finger pointing and hand waving, and I know it’s trite of me to say this, but if I had to hear her say she was going to dirty it up one more time, I might’ve thrown my TV out the window.

This on top of RadarOnline reporting (although the story has since disappeared) that she had introduced herself as “The next American Idol” at the Top 13 after party are more than enough for me to say, I’ve had enough of this chick. Thankfully, America, and the judges, agree with me. Buh-bye, Alexis, and don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Now that my magical thinking has proven its worth, I just have to figure out who I’m going to use it on next….

But how do you *really* feel about her? :D

She’s the reason I don’t normally watch this (and similar) show, because I did like her, and now have little to watch now that she’s out.

Dorv, I’m beginning to think you just have a thing for blonde girls with boyish figures. ;)

Boyish? Not the word that I would have used.

Errr… No comment, other than to say that I’m more of a redhead kinda guy.

No offense meant Dorv! But the first thing I thought of was your undying love for Parker/Beth Riesgraf (and SHE is awesome).

No worries… I was hesitant over the ‘boyish’ figure ;)

She’s not worse than anyone else on the show. They all have an attitude and if they don’t I find them boring.

I’m glad to see her go, but I really thought Adam deserved to leave. That performance was horrible. If Johnny Cash wasn’t already dead that version of Ring of Fire would have killed him.
