The Unit had a lot of potential, seeing as how it was created by The Shield‘s Shawn Ryan. But, for me, it may be because it wasn’t on a cable network like FX that I lost interest in it early on. Not that it’s a bad show at all! In fact, it lasted a respectable four seasons on CBS.
The fourth and final season of The Unit was just released on DVD and is available in stores today, and so is a complete series gift set featuring all four seasons. Well, I’ve got good news for you: we’re giving away one copy of each to random commenters to this post (one recipient of each DVD set).

The Unit was one of the best military shows ever, and one of the best shows on CBS with a great cast to boot. i was really looking forward to where they were taking the show in the new season. it seemed to be winding down, but i really wanted to see it play out.

I miss this show on Sunday nights. Really strong cast – great male leads and well written female counterparts. Also, the theme song had a great line…”See another dawn, through a daughter’s eye.”

I would love to win any one of the sets. I’d probably end up buying the ones I didn’t have. I just love the show. I see a lot of research done in the show and great acting. I’m always glued to the tube until the end. My daughter and I were going through some bad times and ended up in a homeless shelter for 4 months last year and all we had was a small TV with rabbit ears. I had one of the seasons, don’t know when one and a borrowed DVD player and we must have watched that season 4-5 times. My 16 year old daughter loves the show also.
