A familiar face joins Fringe full-time!

Seth Gabel gets an upgrade to series regular for season four of 'Fringe' ... and the fans rejoice!

Seth Gabel joins "Fringe" full-time

Information about the networks’ fall pick-ups and casting decisions are slowly trickling out before next week’s Up Fronts, but us Fringe fans are excited about a particular bit of a casting news for next season – Seth Gabel has been upgraded to a series regular!

With this season’s shocking finale in which Peter simply blinked out of existence, this news raises so many possibilities for the coming year. Will we see more of the alternate Lincoln (and since just about everyone from the Other Side has a clever nickname, we need to come up with one for him) or will our Lincoln get a pay upgrade from slightly-freaked-out FBI agent to full-time Fringe Division agent? Will the alt-Lincoln continue his wooing of Fauxlivia, or will our Lincoln develop a thing for our Olivia – or will people from both worlds begin to intermingle? Will Joshua Jackson return, and if/when he does how will that impact a possible Lincoln/Olivia relationship?

One thing’s for sure, one of television’s best shows has a full season ahead to take us to some new, unimaginable places as worlds collide and Seth Gabel will be along for the entire ride.

UPDATE: Anyone hoping for a similar upgrade for Kirk Acevedo … he’s been cast in NBC’s new Prime Suspect series, so appearances by Charlie will most likely be few and far between.

Compared to how things are now (chronologically) in the series, it starts off slow. Which is more a statement on how good it is now.

I am so excited about this news. I’m almost ok with no Peter coming back … LOVE Lincoln.

But, I would miss Peter too much.

Peter is coming back… sadly….

This news doesn’t really mean anything. He can still appear in the same amount of episodes as he did before. The wife of the teacher on Glee is a full time cast member too and she has been in about a 1/4 of this seasons episodes.
