Bo has to face the killer inside herself this week on Lost Girl. First off, she is dealing with the vision of killing Trick that the Nain Rouge gave her last week. Even worse, the sister of her first boyfriend, the one she succubus-ed to death and left town over, has found her and wants justice. Oh, and she has to go undercover in the violent world of Mixed Martial Arts just when she wants least to be violent.
No, it’s not a good week for Bo.
Usually, at this point she would run away, and she even intends to, but she has something now she didn’t have when she ran away from her kills before — friends. Kenzi fiercely tries to protect her; Lauren tells her that her biology is not her fault; and Trick tells her that she still doesn’t feel like she fits in even though she does. As is the case on so many of our favorite TV shows, the protagonist has created a family for herself that is powerful and has nothing to do with blood.
It makes sense that her pst would finally catch up with her in the form of her dead boyfriend’s sister, Mel. We even learn a bit more about her upbringing, and that she was called Beth! It all seemed a bit sudden to me until I realized that the writers had cleverly made it at the worst possible time, right after the Nain Rouge vision. Bo knows she’s fae now, but she still hasn’t fully accepted her role in that world. I suppose she will have to once she saves them all. …
But are they worth saving? As she points out to Dyson, the MMA fights are just another way of the fae using humans for their entertainment. She is outraged, but Dyson shrugs it off as not a big deal in the fae hierarchy of crime. It was cool to see some MMA fighting, and I liked how Bo tried to make sure the adopted fae child stopped from killing his father and got to stay with him; that is the kind of difference Bo needs to make to feel comfortable in the fae world.
We also got another cliffhanger with The Ash, who ate Ferraro or something at the end of the episode? I am guessing/hoping whatever it is Bo has to do in the upcoming disaster will involve taking him out. Pretty please, show?
