As the new fall season approaches, many of last season’s shows are getting video releases this week — September 4th, to be exact — so viewers can catch up before the new season begins. In addition to long-running shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, The Office, Fringe, and Parks & Recreation, this week sees the home video debut of one of my favorite new shows of last season, 2 Broke Girls. The show has gotten a lot of flack for the racy humor and racial stereotypes, but I love the chemistry between Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, and the addition of Jennifer Coolidge to the cast in the second half of the season just made it more of a must-see show for me (I hope she’s back for season 2). It’s worth checking out, and CBS has faith in it, handing over Two and a Half Men‘s Monday night time slot to it this fall.
