Latest episode clacks for this show:
As ‘Community’ takes place in a college, it’s only fitting that it teaches us some important lessons: Troy can swim, Senor Chang needs to invest in a padlock, Jeff isn’t special, and practicing being a doctor won’t bring your brother back. I feel better, how about you?
The Academy Awards was the big winner for the week, managing to top the ‘Idol’ juggernaut. ‘Idol’ was still huge for FOX, while CBS had great showings from ‘2 ½ Men’, ‘Big Bang’, and ‘NCIS’. ‘SVU”s return to 10 PM was a bright spot for NBC.
“If you are anywhere between 21 and 53 … you will watch this series and feel like a big fat pussy.” – Tom Hanks, on his upcoming HBO miniseries, ‘The Pacific’
It’s Family Day at Greendale Community College, and Katharine McPhee takes her blonde ‘do to Community this week, playing Pierce’s ex-step-daughter, Shirley helps Abed’s cousin, and Troy’s nana beats Britta. Sounds like a pretty typical Family Day to me!
Between Abed as Don Draper on ‘Community,’ possible samurai swords on ‘Modern Family,’ and Zach Galfianakis hanging out with Lupo and Bernard on ‘Law & Order,’ it was a funny week in television.
With the Olympics out of the way, our TV schedules were once again filled with new episodes. ‘American Idol,’ as usual, clobbered everyone. The week also brought three premieres for NBC and the first new ‘Southland’ episodes on TNT.
“I had the lowest of expectations, and I’m still disappointed.” – Axl Heck
