I can’t claim firsthand knowledge about them all, but many of the nominees in this year’s Emmy drama categories star on shows that I watch. Did any of them turn in Emmy-worthy performances? Did your favorites?
Most of the excitement was on cable last week, with premieres from ‘Wilfred’, ‘Louie’, ‘Suits’, ‘Burn Notice’, and ‘Futurama’. There were also finales for ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘The Killing’, ‘Nurse Jackie’, and ‘United States of Tara.’
It was a big premiere week on cable as ‘Pretty Little Liars’, ‘Memphis Beat’, ‘Hawthorne’, ‘Lives of Chloe King’, ‘Hot In Cleveland’, and ‘Happily Divorced’ all debuted. On the broadcast networks, the NBA again took the top spot.
We waited all this time and we STILL don’t know, definitively, who killed Rosie Larsen.
A week of tales about a real life, lewdly tweeting politician was capped with tales of a fictional politician behaving badly. Well at least ‘The Killing’s’ plotline is rocketing forward to its conclusion.
Three NBA games stole the glory for the week on the broadcast networks while cable offered up a number of summer premieres, including ‘White Collar’, ‘Covert Affairs’, ‘Switched At Birth’, and ‘The Glades’.
