Vampire Diaries, you’re officially yanking my chain! I was pretty secure in the not-so-secure feeling that you’d just kill off any cast member, no matter how major, without warning. So I was saddened when Alaric bit it tonight because I really hoped he’d be around for a good long while, but I wasn’t surprised — everyone’s expendable in The Vampire Diaries, after all. Don’t get me wrong — I’m thrilled that Alaric’s alive and even more thrilled that I didn’t see that twist coming (because I’m kinda lame and forgot all about the ring but now that I think about it….). Man, I am having so much fun watching this show!
Caroline, please don’t crave the approval of that trampy thing that calls herself Matt’s mother. Just enjoy being with him and don’t get all insecure .. rise above it all and just be happy. I don’t want any drama here, I want you and Matt to be the stable couple of the show.
Of course, it’s only fitting that Elena’s mom is a vamp, right? Too bad Trudie Peterson paid the price for that friendship, but it does have me wondering — who is Elena’s father? I really can’t even begin to guess.
Damon sure can hit those highs and lows — can a vampire be manic-depressive? I think he’s probably right about there being a connection between Isobel seeking him out and Katherine, since they are related. I’m starting to wonder if everyone in Mystic Falls is related somehow, like it’s just one big incestuous orgy town….

I’m kind of confused about something, maybe I remember wrong, but it’s been bugging me: the man that was send to kill Trudie and warn Elena not to find Isobel was under a vampire’s spell, which made him killed himself once his deed is done. But when Elena used the man’s cell phone to call whoever, the woman (I assumed is Isobel) on the other end answered the call without knowledge of what happened to the man. So who was controlling that man? another vampire other than Isobel?
It could still be that Isobel sent the man.
After all, she did ask if he was not successful. Had he not been successful, he would still be alive.
Ya, I think it was still Isobel that sent him. I think she is trying to protect Elena from somthing. Most likely Katherine, as I’m sure she will be showing us sometine this season. Though I will say that Isobel having the guy kill himself was a bit much.

They’re poking fun. Tri-Delt is a sorority that supposedly has a reputation (well at least at my school they do). That’s why Stefan was asking, “Can I talk to you… without the Tri-Delts?” He was referring to the girls in their lingerie that Damon was biting.
Isobel will definitely be back, if only because she is played by an actress who has been around the block.
Vampires do not have active sperm, do they? I know that Isobel was totally into their lore, and I wonder if it is because of something that happened when she was younger. Her friend knew who the father was; surely Damon didn’t do her when she was young and leave her alive, only to have her come back years later and beg to be turned? That was my first thought. Elena is Damon’s daughter. We have not seen whether or not Elena has any powers. If she does, then the flag will raise a bit more for that idea.
This show has been done so well. If only other shows would follow in the footsteps with regard to daring, timing, etc., all would be well on the CW!
PS – I really don’t like Bing. I’m surprised they got the advertising gig. I like the browser used on Ghost Whisperer, Penthius. LOL
No way, Damon is not Elena’s Father. First of all Damon already said the vampires can’t procreate. And secondly that would be super super creepy! The producers have already said that the love triangle will be a theme throughout the run of the show, and having a father-daughter love triangle is beyond weird. No way are they going that way.

Right, that was my understanding too, but I do think Damon knows something — and that’s always good fun!
I thought this episode was brilliant, missed it the whole 6 weeks it was not on our screens. And i thought that Damon could be Elenas father too, after all he did say he slept with Isabel. And also she knew about vampires, perhaps Damon had wiped her memory but she remembered something, therefore needing Damon to turn/kill her? Also his face when he found out that Isabel was Elenas mother, something was up there! Oh well, i’m sure all will be revealed soon. Can’t wait for this weeks episode!
tridelta <3 famous enough to be on vampire diaries thats just how we are …. but seriously no matter the reputation at your school we arent girls who run around in ligerie and have pillow fights. we are responsible classy girls and we work hard to raise money fo st judes and create a family among ourselves with strong sisterhood bonds. yes every sorority has its rumors but thats just it .. theyre rumors. it doesnt mean its true. i think the reputation is funny because now that i am a tridelta i know its not true. love vampire diaries we all get together in the living room of our tridelt house and watch it together! we basically died when he said that!!!
yer … maybe dameon is elena’s father if so that woul make stefen elena’s uncle which would defently not happen .. the father could possibly be john gilbert??
